Diadem JGW-500 is a 100% biodegradable, woven geotextile fabric, produced from yarns spun from natural unbleached jute fiber. The fabric is intended to controll the erosion of the growing media, and reduce the risk of freshly distributed cuttings blowing away. Install on top of the media layer and anchor it with bio-stakes.

- How to keep the blankets in place?
After the specified Diadem JGW erosion blanket is laid out over the growing media, bio-stakes are pushed through the blanket into the media at the required spacings.
- What is the recommended spacings of the bio-stakes?
Depending on the roof slope and wind exposure, use 1-3 piece/sy.
- Are the JGW-500 geotextiles root-resistant?
Rather than being root resistant, the JGW-500 fabrics are meant to allow root growth through the blankets to strengthen the entire system. By the time the fabric degrades, mature root growth maintaines the stability of the system.
- Does a JGW erosion control layer have to be attached to the layer below it?
Yes it is recommended to use bio-stakes to keep the blankets in place.
