SIM growing medium was developed specifically for use on intensive vegetated roofs. SIM is formulated according to rigorous industry proven guidelines for particle size gradation, dry vs. saturated bulk density, porosity, water retention capacity, hydraulic conductivity, pH balance and organic matter content. SIM growing media is created using only high quality, locally sourced ingredients, including screened sandy loam soil, pumice, aged fir bark, lime, and plant essential nutrients.

The Pennsylvania State University Department of Horticulture provides independent testing and certification to ensure our locally produced Diadem growing media continue to meet these criteria.
