Pre-vegetated mats are sod-like, pre-germinated mats that achieve immediate full plant coverage. These mats are lightweight and easy to install. DIAflor vegetation mats have 85 percent coverage or better. They are typically planted with sedum cuttings, but upon request Diadem can customize the mat size and plant selection. Pre-vegetated mats quickly establish on a green roof and provide immediate erosion control and minimize weed intrusion. After the establishment period, pre-vegetated mats require minimal maintenance with little watering and weeding.

Although pre-vegetated products have a bigger carbon footprint, they are still useful in certain market segments such as projects in need of instant green. The Sedum Rolls are 48"Ă—75" sized rectangles, saturated weight is 5.0 lbs/sqf, which can easily be operated even to hard-to-access roofs.
