Diadem-151 is a multi-layered green roof system comprised of a protection fleece, a drainage layer, a filter fleece, light weight engineered growing media, and a mix of drought-resistant sedum varieties and perennial seeds. Accessories such as metal edge profiles, outlet inspection boxes, terrace channels, and guardrails can be added based on project-specific requirements.

Extensive green roofs are an ecologically sound and economic system that can be installed on sloped roofs and on existing structures with limited load bearing capacity. Due to the thin system profile, traffic should be confined to maintenance paths or terraces. Maintenance requirements are low and irrigation is optional.

  • How long does it take for the vegetation to become established?
This depends on the planting method and the conditions at the time of planting.
  • What are the typical maintenance requirements?
Once established, the vegetation is extremely sturdy and requires only minimal maintenance, limited to occasional weeding 2-3 times per year and visual inspections of drain outlets.
  • Do we need to irrigate vegetation?
A permanently installed irrigation system is optional, although irrigation may be required during establishment depending on specific conditions. The vegetation of Diadem-151 consists of sedum varieties and drought-resistant herbaceous, perennial plants which are selected due to their ability to survive under very harsh conditions.
